Alex has been on jury duty, the lone holdout in a high profile case. Miranda returns home from work and must deal with the repercussions of her boyfriend’s actions. One act, approx. 10 minutes.

CHARACTERS:
MIRANDA (30’S): Outspoken. A teacher for many years.
ALEX (30’s): Miranda’s longtime boyfriend. Works in an office, data processing.

PLACE: An Upper West Side apartment in Manhattan. A couch, a coffee table, a big screen TV, shelves of books, etc. There are a few pictures scattered about of the couple at the beach, on vacation, smiling. We can see they are an established couple. The apartment is “lived in.” A couple’s first apartment.
